DHC-6 Gross Weight Increases
RWMI offers modifications designed to increase the payload capability of your Twin Otter.
DHC-6-200HG Gross Weight Increase
RWMI has developed a modification designated the DHC-6-200HG which allows for an increase in the gross weight from 11,600 to 12,500 pounds. The increased gross weight provides for added payload capability, thus greatly increasing the profitability of the airplane. The modification includes structural improvements to support the increase in gross weight and an increase in powerplant performance by replacing the existing PT6A-20 engines with the more powerful PT6A-27 variant.
DHC-6-300 Restricted Category Gross Weight Increase
RWMI has developed a certified Flight Manual Supplement allowing restricted category operation of the DHC-6-300 at high gross weights up to 14,000 pounds. This is restricted to aircraft used for aerial survey operations and scientific research. With the DHC-6-300’s popularity in the special mission’s community, this provides a means to increase aircraft utilization and profitability.
