DHC-6 "Freon" Air Conditioning Systems

RWMI offers two environmental control (air-conditioning) systems for the Twin Otter.

Our basic system provides approximately 18,000 BTU's of cooling with the installation of the compressor and condenser in the aft baggage compartment. The modification requires installation of cooling inlet and exhaust ducting along with an evaporator-blower which blows cold air forward into the cabin.

Our advanced system provides approximately 20,000 BTU's of cooling air distributed throughout the cabin. This system incorporates a state of the art compressor and condenser mounted in the nose baggage compartment with dual cabin evaporator/blowers mounted aft of the FS332 bulkhead feeding cool air to the overhead distribution system.
